A Story

Hoop Insights was born out of a realization widely shared by basketball coaches: too much time is spent on administrative tasks, organization, and repetitive requests. Between the pile of practice notes, the constant emails, and scattered videos, administrative work sometimes ends up overshadowing what really matters: coaching, performance, and enjoyment.

I’ve experienced this reality firsthand. That’s what inspired me to create a simple, accessible platform designed to support coaches in their daily work, without technical complexity or prohibitive costs. Every coach should be able to rely on a reliable tool to organize, structure, and improve their work, while staying focused on what really matters: the court.

Today, Hoop Insights is based on an affordable annual subscription, featuring tools inspired by those used in professional settings.

Who am I ?

My name is Cédric HENRY. I’m a passionate basketball coach and father of two. For several years now, I’ve been working on the front lines, guiding players in their development with a focus on performance and individual growth.

Prior to that, I spent over 10 years in the digital sector as a front-end developer and UX/UI designer—an experience that now allows me to understand both the needs on the court and the technological solutions capable of effectively addressing them.

Today, as I pursue ongoing professional development (holder of BPJEPS, CQP1, and DETB certifications—soon to be DEJEPS and DEFB), I am committed to refining my approach, honing my coaching skills, and delivering ever-greater value to the players I work with.

Over the seasons, I’ve faced a simple reality: a large portion of a coach’s time is consumed by organization, management, and repetitive tasks, often at the expense of what truly matters.

It was from this observation that Hoop Insights was born: a solution designed by a coach, for coaches, with a clear goal—to gain clarity, efficiency, and time, so we can fully focus on the court and on player development and performance.

Our mission is clear: to help basketball coaches stay organized so they can focus on what matters most. We design tools that reduce mental load, streamline communication, and make management more intuitive.

Every feature of Hoop Insights addresses a specific need: planning a season, tracking player performance, analyzing data, and making decisions at the right time. Our approach is simple: put technology at the service of people, never the other way around.

We believe that a well-organized coach is a calmer, more effective coach who is better able to convey their passion. Our goal is not to replace coaches, but to support them in their daily work so they can save time and refocus their energy on the court.
